I’ve been talking a lot here about nonprofit names that function as an emotional call to action, and this one is a masterclass.

How Non-Profits Benefit From Powerful Name Changes
TRANSCRIPT:
Hey guys, it’s Rebeca Arbona. And today I want to talk to you about another one of these awesome nonprofit names. I’ve been talking about this trend where they’re more emotional and where the name itself is often a call to action. I just… I love these kinds of names, and this one is No Kid Hungry.
I don’t need to tell you what the organization is. I don’t need to tell you their mission. I don’t need to make you feel something about them by whatever I say after the name. The name is enough. It just *feels it deeply* and it’s such a great illustration of why I love this kind of call-to-action name.
In general, nonprofits have typically been more conservative and less emotional because they don’t want to, you know, offend anyone or be polarizing in any way, but this emotional naming trend is so powerful. I love it, and I think you can see why. What could work better for this brand, this organization than that name? Thanks. Bye!
